Ingredients
1 ½ lbs ground beef (80/20)
1 egg
1 cup breadcrumbs
1 small onion, diced
½ cup milk
2 tablespoons ketchup
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon onion powder
½ cup ketchup (for topping)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, egg, breadcrumbs, diced onion, milk, 2 tbsp ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until well combined, but don’t overwork the meat.
Shape the meat mixture into a loaf and place it in a baking dish or loaf pan.
Spread the remaining ½ cup of ketchup evenly over the top.
Bake for 60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
