Cook fettuccine according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add shrimp and cook until pink, about 3 minutes per side. Remove from skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, sauté garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.
Add heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, black pepper, and salt to the skillet. Stir until the sauce thickens, about 5 minutes.
Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet and stir to coat with the sauce.
Toss the cooked fettuccine with the shrimp and sauce until well combined.
Garnish with parsley and serve warm.
