Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour and salt.
  2. Gradually add water and oil, stirring until the mixture forms a dough.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 2-3 minutes until smooth.
  4. Divide the dough into 8 equal portions and roll each one into a ball.
  5. On a floured surface, roll each ball into a thin circle about 6-8 inches in diameter.
  6. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Cook each tortilla for about 1 minute on each side or until golden spots appear.
  7. Keep tortillas warm in a towel while cooking the remaining ones.
