Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3 tbsp butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp dried parsley
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, dissolve sugar in warm milk and sprinkle yeast over it. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
  2. Stir in flour and salt, then knead until a smooth dough forms (about 8 minutes).
  3. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for about an hour or until doubled in size.
  4. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  5. Divide the dough into equal portions and shape into rolls. Place on a greased baking sheet.
  6. Mix melted butter, minced garlic, parsley, and black pepper. Brush over the rolls.
  7. Bake for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Optional: Sprinkle with grated parmesan before serving.
