Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 bag frozen sweet potato fries
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup sliced green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven and bake sweet potato fries according to package instructions.
  2. In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add diced onion and cook until softened, about 3 minutes.
  4. Stir in tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  5. Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mixture thickens.
  6. Once fries are done, transfer to a serving platter and top with sloppy joe mixture.
  7. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top and let it melt.
  8. Garnish with sliced green onions and serve immediately.
