Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 2 1/4 tsp instant yeast
  • 3/4 cup warm water
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Mozzarella cheese sticks, cut into small pieces
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine flour, salt, sugar, and yeast. Gradually add warm water and olive oil, mixing until a dough forms.
  2. Knead the dough for 5–7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Cover and let it rise for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  3. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  4. Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces. Flatten each piece and place a piece of mozzarella in the center. Wrap the dough around the cheese and pinch to seal.
  5. Arrange the knots on the baking sheet. Bake for 15–18 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. In a small bowl, mix melted butter, garlic, and parsley. Brush the baked knots with the garlic butter mixture.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy!
