In a large pot, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
Add diced onions and garlic, cooking until softened.
Pour in beef broth, crushed tomatoes, diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and let simmer for 15 minutes.
Add broken lasagna noodles and cook until tender, about 10 minutes.
Stir in heavy cream and let cook for another 5 minutes.
Serve hot, topped with mozzarella, Parmesan, and fresh basil if desired.
